Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion as well as fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began in the form of an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA career in 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long time off from MMA. She came back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui with an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized superior strikes and striking skills to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. Antonina took a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her first bout. Antonina rebounded from the defeat and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. It was the best fight of night for this fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
